Saint Helier (French language: Saint-Hélier, Jèrriais: St Hélyi) is one of the twelve parishes of Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands in the English Channel. St. Helier has a population of about 28,000, roughly 31.2% of the total population of Jersey, and is the capital of the Island (although Government House is situated in St. Saviour). The urban area of the parish of St. Helier makes up most of the largest town in Jersey, although some of the town area is situated in adjacent St. Saviour, with suburbs sprawling into St. Lawrence and St. Clement. The greater part of St. Helier is predominantly rural.
The parish crest is two crossed gold axes on a blue background, symbolising the martyrdom of Helier and the sea.

Green Island
Green Island or La Motte is a tidal island in the parish of St Clement on the south-east coast of Jersey (Channel Islands)
It is situated near the sea shore and is accessible at low tide but visitors to the Island need to be careful not to be cut off by the incoming tide. The island has a grassy surface and is predominantly clay surrounded by rocks. In recent times efforts have been made to preserve the Island by the construction of walls.
At low tide around Green Island are various rocks which are interesting to explore.

Tynwald,
Tynwald, or more formally, the High Court of Tynwald (Manx: Ard-whaiyl Tinvaal) is the legislature of the Isle of Man. It consists of the directly elected House of Keys and the indirectly chosen Legislative Council.
The Houses sit jointly, for largely ceremonial purposes, on Tynwald Day at St John's, and on other occasions in the Legislative Buildings in Douglas. Otherwise, the two Houses sit separately, with the House of Keys originating most legislation, and the Legislative Council acting as a revising chamber. (It can thus be argued that Tynwald is tricameral because in addition to the two branches sitting separately they also sit as a single body.)
